What Is Hologrampy?

Meet, Hologrampy… One part decorative novelty item, one part speaker… it gives your listening experience a boost with a stunning visual accompaniment. It uses the latest in holographic tech to create enchanting patterns and shapes in vibrant colors that move and change depending on the music type or song you’re listening to. It’s equally perfect for setting the mood at parties as it is for soothing your mind at home.

Oceans 11 Is Getting The Ghostbusters Treatment.

The first trailer for Oceans 8 has officially debuted, giving us our first look at the sequel/spin-off of Steven Soderbergh’s Oceans trilogy.  The story sees Danny Ocean’s sister Debbie (Sandra Bullock) released from prison, only to return to a life of crime by assembling her own team – which includes Thor Ragnarok’s Cate Blanchett and The Dark Knight  Rises’ Anne Hathaway – to steal a priceless necklace from New York City’s annual Met Gala.

Mateusz Lengling.

Photographers and photo editors rarely capture the unique and captivating images that Poland’s Mateusz Lengling is able to.  With what seems like just simple photo slices Lengling’s artwork provides a rich and unforgettable feast for the eyes.  Check out a cross section of his work.

Into The Spider-Controversey…

It’s amazing how quickly the internet can be set aflame by something small, or in this case something people should who feel the need to voice their opinion should already know.  The new Spider-Man is half black, half Dominican.  It’s not a big deal.  In Spiderman: Homecoming, when Donald Glover aka Childish Gambino mentions his “nephew that lives here” at the 2:23 mark, and that is a direct reference to Miles Morales, (who has a criminal uncle that he’s reluctantly forced to combat in the books).

The new Sony helmed, animated Spider-Man movie is much in the vein of the TMNT movie from the same animation studio, but promises to pass the torch to Miles Morales in a way that also introduces the “Spider-verse”, (a universe where Peter Parker is still alive, and all manner of amazing things still happen).  Many people don’t know about this change that happened in 2011, but have been quite vocal about the new Spider-Man being of a different race.  (To them I say, if you haven’t read a book since 2011, maybe get with the times… and literacy)  To the writing staff personally, if you’re skinny, and black, and can do incredible things to help other people in need, who’s to complain?  I enjoy it.  Lets see what Sony can do with this.

Vertical Vinyl.

Introducing “o-ton”, a vertical, wireless turntable which lets you import and digitally enhance your vinyl records. It’s almost entirely translucent, so you can see all the inner workings and, of course, your vinyl’s unique cover art. The design features a digital stylus that automatically turns your device on if you insert a vinyl. With an integrated optical sensor, the stylus can identify and jump individual tracks. Simply plug it in, pair your device, insert a vinyl, select your speaker and dance.

The Glass Bags?

These hollow and solid sculptures in the shape of water filled plastic bags examine the boundaries of human perception by manipulating light and space with the optical properties of glass. Made using traditional glass making techniques, this novel approach to the use of the material creates a lens to view the world afresh and the items we perceive around us.  The dimensions vary around 12-17” (30cm-43cm) tall x 7″wide (18cm) x 4” deep (10cm) – Available online here

Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom Trailer.

Earlier tonight, the ‘Jurassic Park: Fallen Kingdom’ trailer was released, (after several days of being delayed) it had nowhere near the impact of the Avengers: Infinity War trailer much to the chagrin of Universal. (Avengers 12M YouTube views in 6 hours, Jurassic 4M YouTube views in 6 hours) However, the reactions have generally been quite positive, and as was pointed out to me by a friend, there are some fans of the franchise who believe the Jurassic films can do no wrong.  (I just think Jeff Goldblum can do no wrong).  Take a look at the trailer (if you haven’t seen it already) and sound off on what you think about this 5th installment.

The Alila Villas Soori Resort.

I made the mistake of following a Bali page on my Tumblr, and have been addicted to the radiance and beauty of the island.  After stumbling across the Alila Villas resort, the team know we had to post it.  If you want to learn more about the food, the accommodations, or anything else, check out their site here, and some more photos of the property below.
