Air Jordan XX8 Black/Bright Citrus-Cool Grey-Deep Royal

Designed to coincide with this month’s Black/Bright Citrus-Cool Grey-Deep Royal edition of the Air Jordan 8 Retro, Jordan Brand has crafted an identical colorway of this year’s flagship silhouette – the Air Jordan XX8. Featuring the same motif as that of the versions created for Oak Hill Academy and Montrose Christian, the predominately black sneakers boast a combination of Bright Citrus, Cool Grey, and Deep Royal across the zippered shroud as an orange Jumpman logo appears on the carbon fiber heel counter. Complete with the silhouette’s signature Flight Plate and donning a contrasting grey midsole along with a royal outsole, this XX8 is due out June 1.

Theophilus London – Rio

Trinidad-born NYC rapper Theophilus London follows up on the release of his latest single “Rio” with this music video. A chilled out track that features The Menahan Street Band, “Rio” draws on London’s diverse musical influences that include non hip hop genres such as funk and jazz. The self-directed video is hazy and dreamlike, which pairs well with the laid-back groove of the back track.

Instalacao Nightclub, Porto, Portugal

As far as nightlife goes, in Porto, Portugal, it is all happening downtown. A local company, Baixa, has recently added another downtown nightclub to its roster that already includes the Baixa Bar. The new nightclub, Instalação (installation), was designed by José Carlos Cruz Arquitecto, the same team responsible for the design of Baixa Bar as well as the Farmacia Lordelo. The space for Instalação, opened in late March, was in essence a long, narrow corridor with two dividing structural arches that support the building itself. From this 250 square-meter (2,690 sq.ft.) space the designers created a golden wire tunnel where the main materials are concrete, brass and polished aluminum. Inspired by various works of Olafur Eliasson,the team created a glowing, floating lighting program that helps expand the space visually and draws the attention to reflections and illumination, away from the narrow framework of the room.

Digital Destruction Watch by Ross McBride

The Digital Destruction Watch is a good analogy for how old has to make way for the new. Designed by Ross McBride the watch features a face where the analog dial seems to have been destroyed by the elements and made way for the digital era.

Time marches on. The old must make way for the new, but sometimes it does not go willingly as with the Digital Destruction Watch. Set in an analog body, the traditional mechanical dial seems to have shattered to make way for the digital LCD screen. The “crown” is actually a button that switches between time, second, and date modes, as well as activate the backlight. -Ross McBride

Lil Wayne, Birdman, Future, Mack Maine & Nicki Minaj – Tapout

Lil Wayne brings the entire crew together today for the release of his new “Tapout” music video. This video was directed by Hannah Lux Davis and features Birdman, Future, Mack Maine and Nicki Minaj. Not only does the Rich Gang take the cake for an elaborate video but there is even special cameos from Paris Hilton, Christina Milian and so many more. Paris and Christina are aiming to spike the rich guy’s drink while they steal all of his valuables. Classy. Look out for appearances from Bow Wow and DJ Khaled as well.

HEBIL 157 House In Bodrum

Istanbul-based architectural practice, Aytac Architects, have designed the Hebil 157 project. Completed in 2012, the five luxury apartments were inspired by the cascading flow of lava of the ancient Kos volcano and can be found in Bodrum, Turkey.
