The PartyCloud.

When it comes to different amalgamations of Disk Jockeying, there is an endless field of ways to show your talent with the same act.  iPads, iPods, DJ controllers, beat pads, or turn tables, can all be used to rock a crowd, but with the advent of Party Cloud, things have changed a little.  Using any computer with an internet connection, a DJ can potentially spin a party using just the website alone.  For me personally I don’t know if its more a useful tool, or yet another way for people to cheapen an art (much like Guitar Hero did for people who ACTUALLY play those songs on the guitar).  But check it out and let the crew know what you think.

Kendrick Lamar @ Vitamin Water’s Uncapped.

When it comes to ‘Uncapped’ shows, there’s never a dull moment, but Los Angeles rapper Kendrick Lamar attempted to outdo the whole of his predecessors with an exclusive performance of “No Make-Up (Her Vice)” featuring best coast singer Bethany Consentino. Worlds collided and it sounded awesome.

Revisiting The Fresh Prince Of Bel Air.

Being a huge Top Gear fan, I’m always watching BBC America, and one of the few other shows I love on the network is the Graham Norton show.  Its like your average late night talk show, but with a little more British swag.  Among the guests on Graham’s sofa are Hollywood star Will Smith, who stars in new film Men in Black III, and Will sat down to do one of his most classic songs ever. Check the method.

Hugo Boss Black (In 3D).

Fashionistas are invited to take their seats at the first fashion show to stream live in 3D when Hugo Boss presents its Boss Black Fall/Winter 2012 catwalk show May 18 from Beijing.  Hugo Boss will now show what has been dubbed the first live stream 3D runway show at www.hugoboss.com, with model and designer interviews and backstage impressions also to be part of the live stream, which begins at 8.45 PM CST.  While many dedicated fans have already received their own free Hugo Boss 3D glasses, it’s not too late for fashionistas hoping to watch as there are a host of YouTube tutorials on making your own pair.  Meanwhile, check out the latest episode of the “Way to Beijing” video diary, which offers an insight into the workings of Boss Black menswear designer Kevin Lobo.  The label has also launched a “Make your pic 3D app” via its Facebook page, allowing users to create their own 3D profile picture.

Drake Performs ”The Zone” Live In Miami.

Joe Buddens Talks The Arrest Before His Show.

Seeing any group in concert is never the same when one of the members is missing.  In the Hip Hop community, our artists tend to get arrested instead of O.D.ing, which can be annoying, but at least they can be around to discuss it afterwards.  Recently at a Slaughterhouse concert, Joe Buddens was absent from the stage due to an arrest prior to the show.  Below is the interview where he discussed what exactly happened.

RISD at the ICFF.

Students at the Rhode Island School of Design will show off their work at this year’s International Contemporary Furniture Fair in New York, which convenes this Friday and runs through Tuesday. The exhibition, titled Immaterialize, stemmed from a a semester-long course in 2008, which tasked students to create furniture from non-traditional materials. Here’s a peek at the nine projects.

Loiter Squad – Episode 1/Odd Future Afterparty In San Francisco.

Just like many other 18-15 year old males in the U.S., I’ve become a fan of most of the programming on Adult Swim (the off the wall late night programming that comes on Cartoon Network).  As the line up has changed over the years, I’ve had many different programs to look forward to, but a few months ago I got a bombshell dropped on me that Odd Future would be getting their own Adult Swim programming slot.  The people reading this not totally familiarized with O.F. might not understand just how ridiculous that concept seems, but you will soon.  I’ve managed to get my hands on the first episode of the show ‘Loiter Squad’, and not only is it pure unadulterated hilarity, it’s also exact what Adult Swim needed to keep their line-up fresh.  Check the method below.

For those of you who are unaware of the O.F. movement, let me just open up your mind to the situation.  The group is led by rapper/producer Tyler, The Creator, and includes rappers Hodgy Beats, Earl Sweatshirt, Domo Genesis and Mike G, singer Frank Ocean, producers Left Brain, Syd the Kyd and Matt Martians, and other non-musical members, notably Jasper Dolphin, Taco and L-Boy (that appeared in the ‘Loiter Squad’ episode above.)  Their music is a crowd hyping force to be reckoned with, and anyone who wants proof of this needs to go no further than San Francisco.  O.F. is gathering at 330 Ritch on April 9th for a night of intoxicated skullduggery courtesy of Above Ground.  Click the pic below for tickets.

The Perfect Zombie Proof House.

My good friend Carlos C. and I have a deep routed affinity for the AMC show “The Walking Dead”, and after watching the very intense season 2 finale, I stumbled across something interesting.  Situated deep within the Adirondack State Park in Upstate New York, this cabin was built atop a cold-war era missile silo and is currently on the market for only $1.75 million dollars. It’s basically perfect for surviving any sort of end of the world scenario… inlcuding zombies.

As the pictures progress, you are seeing deeper and deeper into the house’s structure.

Carlos, lets go halves on this spot… Just incase.

The Flip Side.

Around mid 2011 some friends and I had discussed the possibility of shooting some short comedy sketches, and immediately premises started flying about.  Some good, some great, none of which I can talk about in this post, but I’ve never seen a video and thought to myself “DAMN, why didn’t we think of that?”… until just now.  While researching some camera equipment I came across a video titled “The Flip Side”.  It’s a simple concept with tons of hilarious applications, and its honestly something no one on my team thought of.  As bitter as I may have initially been about that, it doesn’t matter, because the guys behind this video couldn’t have done it any better neither could anyone else.  What would the world be like if women acted like men, and vice-versa?  Check the method below to find out.

The Batman Live Batmobile.

For those who have no idea what the hell ‘Batman Live’ is, its an all new theater production of Batman, that features a new story with all his classic villians.  Will be worth your $200 for a ticket?  Only time will tell, but what I heard yesterday is that the Dark Knight will be cruising the boards in a very plush ride.  Indeed the Batmobile of Broadway (or more accurately of ‘Manchester’, from July onwards) is designed by the very man who designed the McLaren F1 road car and the Mercedes Benz SLR McLaren, on top of a number of F1 racing cars, Professor Gordon Murray. The same man that independently designed the Rocket, an ultra-lightweight, open cockpit roadster powered by a 1-litre motorcycle engine, which has an appearance similar to that of a 60′s era Grand Prix car.

Batman Live will tour arenas for the first time ever across the UK and Europe, beginning in summer 2011, and arriving in North America in August 2012. Opening in Manchester on 19 July 2011 and visiting Newcastle, Glasgow, Sheffield, Birmingham, London, Liverpool, Nottingham, Dublin and Belfast.

V-Nasty Performing @SlimsSF.

Not just Kreayshawn’s right hand woman, V-Nasty has risen in the spotlight through her own sharp rhymes and often dirty mouth. YMCMB In Australia.

It seems like Derrik G. is always on the move with the YMCMB crew now a days.  In his most recent video, he documents Baby’s progress through Hawaii to Australia for some shows on the “I Am Still Music” world tour.  Check the video below.

b.Funk – ‘Check Yo Mind’.

Every time I throw up a post about b.FUNK, I get at least 2 or 3 emails with people saying that I rep their movement because the members are from my hometown.  For the last time, this simply isn’t true, even if I didn’t know some members since I was a pre-teen, graduate from the same high school, rehearse, and rock shows in the Poconos with bFunk, I’d still endorse their music just as hard.  The band has an incredibly unique sound, covered by B.C.’s signature flow, which makes every song a memorable one.  Their latest video “Check Yo Mind” has an original, yet familiar feel to it, and adds a good visualization to an already great song.

Stupidity… The Movie.

Personally I love finding the meaning of things that people tend to skip over, the primary example being the meaning behind certain words.  Not too many people know that both “f*ck” and “sh*t” are acronyms for things people used to do every day, and over time developed into taboo words that you use excessively starting at the age of 10.  This documentary about “Stupidity”, tells us the history of the word “moron”, the difference between stupid, moron, smart, intelligent, genius and questions the regular practice of classifying peoples intelligence through standardized IQ tests.  Of course also our former president Bush is examined in this report.  A well educated guy who, nevertheless, acts in a completely dumb way.  If you have the time, check out the entire documentary below.

Lost Footage… Jay-Z and Kanye West.

Jay and Kanye have been working together for about a decade now, but it’s not everyday that you hear about some lost footage.  Check the video below for a very in depth look at how the song “Big Brother” came to life.

T.I. – F*ck Da City Up (Trailer 2)

So many people tuned in to watch the premier of T.I.’s reality show on VH1, but those aren’t the only camera’s Tip Harris has spent time in front of.  Recently he dropped a couple trailers for his new mixtape titled “F*ck The City Up”, and I’ve got the newest one right here.

‘An Idiot Abroad 2′.

The year 2011 has brought trials, tribulations, beautiful life changes, and incredible opportunities, but one thing has brightened up my year in a unique way that nothing else could have.  The official return of “An Idiot Abroad”.  Take a look at the extended trailer for the return of one of my favorite shows below.

Rick Ross In Africa.

Video blogs are rising in popularity, especially with those who travel.  Ricky Rosay like most rap celebrities has been all across the globe and back, and his most recent trip to Africa was documented in true video blog fashion.  Check the method below.

Unnecessary Censorship In Sesame Street.

For a very long time the FCC, (Federal Communications Commission) has been doing their job of censoring things in media.  Sometimes their judgement may be a bit lax, but most of the time they are perceived as being too harsh.  Take a look at what the FCC would most likely do, if they got their hands on some of our most beloved children’s characters.

T.I. & Tiny – The Family Hustle.

Tip Harris has been a well known face in the Hip Hop community for many a year, but some of the decisions he’s made in his personal life since his entrance into the spot light have been a bit… odd.  Weather you’ve been waiting for it since it was announced, or never cared enough to remember hearing about it, T.I.’s reality show has almost reached the airwaves.  VH1 released a preview recently about the man, the mogul, and the myths that surround his mind-state.  Check the method below.
