As a part of their ongoing relationship with Reebok per the recently launched Reebok Certified Network, Swedish retailer Sneakersnstuff teamed up with the footwear giant to outfit a rendition of the Insta Pump Fury. This particular version, called the “Legal Issues,” references a certain pop culture phenomenon that carries certain trademark barriers. Regardless, the brand did well to outfit the Pump Fury with plush materials around its upper, bound within a white/black leather foot-cage. The shoe also features Sneakersnstuff branding around the heel tab.

The Wrecking Orchestra’s Tron Dance.

tron_legacy_promo_image_disc_game_03There are many impressive dance groups out there, all deserving of recognition, but not too many videos have had as much impact as the ‘Tron Dance’ from The Wrecking Orchestra.  This video isn’t the newest, but I felt the need to throw it up simply because every time I run into it on the web, I just can’t help remember how excited I was the first time I saw it.  Check the method below.

Fedrigoni Paper

Fedrigoni are a well established, Italian paper company who have refined the art and science of making fine quality special papers. The challenge was to create a campaign which will ensure the entire UK design industry hears about the paper selection tool, consisting of 262 various paper samples which enables designers to choose the best shade and most suitable surface for their very next project. The final design was focused on quality Italian products and pride in appearance. Italian fashion houses supply the highest quality goods in the market, working with the finest materials, his aim was to capture this very same message for the Fedrigoni paper range.

The designer chose to create dinner jackets because not only do they portray a strong image of quality, but just as importantly, classic, traditional design. He developed four templates, one for each element of the outfit, shirt, waistcoat, jacket and bow tie. Once each element is made they simply slot together, allowing you to make your own, and experiment with the different paper qualities and colour combination until you are happy with the outcome. Fedrigoni claim that their papers are ultra functional yet wonderfully expressive, this inspired him to produce a wide range of styles, from simple, subtle colours and patterns to much more elaborate combinations. The book would be sent to Fedrigoni’s existing customers, of which a large majority are top fashion labels, promoting the new color tool.

Affion Crockett – WTF.

Affion Crockett is well known for his celebrity/rap spoof, primarily his first go at Drake, but now apparently, he’s coming out with an entire album titled “Watch The Clone”.  The first single off said album is titled “WTF”, and a masterful impersonation of Jay-Z discussing Lil Wayne’s current fashion trends.  A nice video with a funny premise, (and featuring Donnell Rawlins) “WTF” is sure to make any Hip Hop enthusiasts laugh.  Check the method.

Lady Gaga’s x Giorgio Armani.

Lady Gaga and Madonna’s outfits for their respective upcoming tours look set to rival one another in the high fashion stakes, the latter has Jean Paul Gaultier on hand, while Giorgio Armani has just revealed sketches of his creations for Gaga.  On April 19 Armani unveiled a string of predictably wild custom-made outfits for the songstress, including lashings of luminous PVC, a keyboard head piece and, naturally, spiky shoulders.  “Collaborating with Lady Gaga is always an exciting experience for me. I admire the way she uses fashion as a scenic element and as a means to build a character,” said Armani, who also created looks for her 2010 Monster Ball tour.  “She is an artist of many talents and great intelligence. Creating stage costumes for her is a stimulating and creative exercise.”  While Gaga’s Born This Way Ball kicks off April 27 in Seoul, Korea, Madonna starts the MDNA Tour May 29 in Tel Aviv, Israel.  The songstress confirmed that her long-time collaborator Gaultier, who came up with the iconic pieces of her 1990 Blonde Ambition tour, is helping out with costumes.

Georgina Chapman Dresses.

Women’s fashion isn’t necessarily my area of expertise, (if I had my way, a corset and boy shorts would be the standard for going out clothes).  But having an ever increasing number of model clients, is getting me more into appreciating the formal styles that compliment a woman’s look.  Georgina Chapman is someone who a few of my runway models have been pointing out to me for a while. They’ve adored her collection since she and Keren Craig began in 2004.  The delicate lace, soft satin and the tattooed legs (are they stockings? I cant tell) all come together to make another collection I’ll view over and over in admiration of both her style and the bad-ass models wearing it.

Vogue’s 90th.

So I can already hear my phone going off with all my fashion forward friends telling me that this post is “SO October 2010″ but I don’t care, I still think it’s dope.  Vogue had its 90th anniversary party late last year with a very interesting theme.  Check the pics below and let me know what you think.  The party was held at the Hotel Pozzo di Borgo, and Carine Roitfeld, the Editor-in-Chief of the French edition of Vogue, hosted the masked ball that was inspired by Stanley Kubrick’s film Eyes Wide Shut.  Among the magazine’s favourite designers, performers and cover girls that came together to celebrate were Christian Louboutin, Jean Paul Gaultier, Tyra Banks, Gisele Bundchen, Kate Moss, Lara Stone (who stars on the cover of the 90th anniversary issue), Karolina Kurkova, Dita Von Teese, Craig David and Jade Jagger.
