The Ex1.

What do you get when you mix an Autobot, the “Batman Begins” Batmobile, and a ‘T-Rex‘?   A vehicle that looks even better to slide into than a video vixen’s mouth… The EX1.  To celebrate their 200th anniversary, the french car maker Peugeot developed a new concept car that merges its motorcycle and automotive expertise in the EX1. the lightweight car features two seats and no top with power coming from 4 wheel mounted electric motors that add up to 340 horsepower.  The exterior design is quite dramatic with a large front air intake, side scoops and low-profile wind screen.  While the car won’t likely see a production line, the prototypes constructed by Peugeot are said to have achieved excellent results.

Dial Phone.

The trend in concept phones these days is turning retro, which is why we have the “Dial” reminisce the era of the round-dials on phones. The difference however lies in the present concept being touted as a fashion accessory that can be crafted in the metal of choice; giving you the luxury of being, chic, sporty, or uber-rich. A projected light beam in the inner circle impersonates the rotary dial, but to dial a number you need to simply touch it. Quite interesting.

The Versace Bubble Sofa.

“Versace Home” has launched this chic Bubble Sofa. Quirky, comfy and very colorful the sofa can be upholstered in choice of fabric or leather.  This is an exceedingly dope piece in my opinion that looks just as comfortable as it looks fashionable.

Another Set Of Dope Watches.

So I hope it’s clear by now to people who have been following the blog that I’m a huge watch enthusiast.  I’ve been collecting rare/unique watches for the last few years, and I’ve posted up a few other posts on the subject but I keep running into better and more unique watches.  Some of the following are overly functional, some are simply stylish, and others are dramatically unique, but all of the below are examples of a few of my favorites.

“Source Code”.

Its interesting to see different movie that seem to be a meld of several other films.  When I came across the trailer for “Source Code” I was impressed with the concept, but even more intrigued by the premise behind the film.  It seems almost to be a combination of “The Matrix” mixed with “Vantage Point” with a splish-splash of “Next”.  The synopsis is as follows, let me know what your think.

When decorated soldier Captain Colter Stevens (Jake Gyllenhaal) wakes up in the body of an unknown man, he discovers he’s part of a mission to find the bomber of a Chicago commuter train. In an assignment unlike any he’s ever known, he learns he’s part of a government experiment called the “Source Code,” a program that enables him to cross over into another man’s identity in the last 8 minutes of his life. With a second, much larger target threatening to kill millions in downtown Chicago, Colter re-lives the incident over and over again, gathering clues each time, until he can solve the mystery of who is behind the bombs and prevent the next attack. Filled with mind-boggling twists and heart-pounding suspense, Source Code is a smart action-thriller directed by Duncan Jones (Moon) also starring Michelle Monaghan (Eagle Eye, Due Date), Vera Farmiga (Up in the Air, The Departed), and Jeffrey Wright (Quantum of Solace, Syriana).

The New (New) BMW GT M1.

BMW’s M1 is back.  And drivers can expect stunning design, impressive fuel economy and incredible performance to come as standard with the new model due on sale in 2012.  It will be based on the Vision EfficientDynamics concept, BMW’s star of the Frankfurt Motor Show, and Auto Express’s exclusive images reveal how the newcomer will look.  With an ultra-low ride height, active aerodynamics and an aggressive rear end, there will be no shortage of visual drama. Inside, there will be two-plus-two seating, and the low-slung driving position will be surrounded by cutting-edge technology, including a digital dash and multimedia connectivity.  A three-dimensional head-up display that shows information such as speed and speed limits, economy and sat-nav functions, plus an advanced version of BMW’s iDrive cabin control system, will also appear.

Practicality will be limited however, with BMW choosing to deliver a machine that sets a new benchmark for performance and efficiency, rather than creature comforts. At the core of this effort will be groundbreaking technologies which will see every aspect of traditional car design reinvented.  The most significant element of this huge effort will be the development of the 1.5-litre hybrid engine revealed in the Vision EfficientDynamics. The three-cylinder unit will be paired with a powerful electric motor – together both will offer more than 350bhp and 800Nm of torque.  To save fuel, top speed will remain electronically limited to around 155mph. However, the 0-60mph sprint is expected to take less than five seconds.  To make the most of this raw speed, the M1 will be equipped with BMW’s Air Curtain system. This arrangement channels airflow through the front bumper and out ahead of the front wheels. It reduces turbulence in the wheelarches and cuts the car’s drag coefficient to 0.22Cd – the lowest of any BMW. Subtle folds in the bodywork will also create downforce without the need to use large spoilers.

Insane Architectural Photography Pt. 2.

After my posts about the photographer “Dangerously Dolly” I realized I didn’t have to ignore vast amounts of content on a post, I could just split it up into different parts, and display it like that, so after finding a collection of pictures displaying architecture from all over the world, I knew if I didn’t what to leave anything out, I had to break it up.  So here we finish up with part 2. of my finds on unique architectural Photography.

T-Pain Ft. Rick Ross – Rap Song

The man “Teddy Pender-Ass” is back at it again along with Rick Ross on their single “Rap Song”. The track is essentially all about making love to a rap song. The concept wouldn’t be that unique if it weren’t for Pain’s clever method of citing other popular rap tracks from dozens of other artists throughout the song and chorus. The video itself is also quite unique, taking a style of 3D moving pictures to comprise a club scene. There are no actual moving people in the video, just a one-shot fly by of different things taking place emphasising the songs lyrical content. I also had trouble counting the amount of cameos in the video, from Bow Wow, Mr. Fab, DJ Khaled, Flo Rida, and even a model who’s been featured on this Blog once before. So all in all T-Pain proves he can still produce an original video for a song that I personally have been listening to since I got a hold of it months ago. Check the method below, and please excuse the watermark from the folks who got their mitts on it before it hit youtube.

Sickest Coffee Machine In Creation.

I’m not much of a coffee person, but when I layed eyes on this capachino maker, with custom engraved Maria Vittoria Benatti artwork, I knew it was one of the sickest coffee makers I’d ever seen.

Green Lantern Official First Trailer.

Green Lantern is officially taking its first steps on the marketing trail by dropping a rediculously entertaining trailer.  Ryan Reynolds is Hal Jordan, hot shot fighter pilot, that turns into the intergalactic patrol, the super hero Green Lantern.  Check the highly anticipated trailer by clicking the pic above. (See Chris, I wrote the entire post without making a stupid “Beyonce/put a ring on it” reference… I hope your happy)

Dr. Dre ft. Eminem & Liz Rodrigues – I Need A Doctor.

Click the pic to listen.

So to be totally honest, I’ve been listening to this song on repeat while compiling the information for/writing the last 3 or 4 posts.  (So I’ve heard it no less than 40 times.)  The song strikes a very unique cord, and illuminates some of the previously unknown relationship between Eminem and Dr. Dre.  I know I’ve been waiting for Dre’s album Detox since I was in high school or something ridiculous like that, and no one has gotten a straight answer as to why it’s taken so long to produce.  But Em voices his opinion on Dre’s mindset, as well as some of his thoughts on the relationship between them.  Dre on the other hand goes on to speak on how he feels about certain un-named individuals in the industry, and makes it official that after ‘Detox’ drops, that the Dr. will no longer be in the house.  Liz Rodrigues adds an amazing chorus that gives the song a completeness of concept that I don’t think any other conceivable singer could have delivered as well.  (Much like Haley Williams did for B.O.B.’s ‘Airlplanes’)  But click the pic to hear the song for yourself. (And if the link stop working, let me know so I can fix it.)

Soulja Boy ft. 50 Cent – Mean Mug (Official Video)

Click the pic to watch the video.

So uh… I’m sure anyone who knows me is laughing at the fact that I threw this up, but listen to my logic first.  The song ‘Mean Mug’ by Soulja Boy featuring 50 Cent is a perfect example of marketing genius.  A collaboration between two of the most “despised” names in rap would cause an obvious stir, and anyone who follows the hip hop community has heard mention of this song whether they are fans of either of the artists.  (And if your reading this from you phone, or sitting in front of your computer saying “I never heard about it.”… Your hearing about it right now.)  And for the simple fact that if for no other reason than to stir things up, just the creation of this song is something I respect.  Simply put, two biggest artists in the game today, who thrive off of people’s negative opinions are brilliant for doing something that (regardless of people hate it or love it) will put more money in their pockets.

Need 4 Speed vs. Entourage?

So everyone who’s ever chilled and watched the HBO show Entourage with me, knows that when I want to be annoying, I can recite almost every word from any episode.  (Yeah, its like that).  So when I came across the new Need For Speed ads featuring Kevin Dillon and Jerry Ferrara, I was in awe.  The ads feature the boys (Drama and Turtle) from Entourage, somewhat in character while being valets at a fancy hotel.  The guys get to drive the worlds fastest cars at 5 MPH, and while never really saying each other’s names, if your a fan of the show, you can see their characters come out.  Check the method.

Paperface – “Wishery”

From the “Get Off My Crumb” mixtape to the new “Planet of the Papes”, lyrical dynamo Paperface never ceases to amaze with his diverse and inventive style, and unique content. But when he showed me the beat “Wishery” he stumbled upon, I knew I had to put it up, its a whole new beast. The beat was compiled entirely from samples of the 1937 Disney classic “Snow White”. Producers and DJ’s alike should take note of the creativeness and skill leaking from every aspect of the track. Although the original source is anything but “gangsta”, the finished product is a ridiculously dope beat that has a classic vibe to it. Check the method below.

The centurion, Marcus Aquila (Channing Tatum), travels with a British slave, Esca (Jamie Bell), beyond Hadrian’s Wall into Caledonia, where he must confront the tribes to recover the legion’s eagle standard and restore his father’s reputation.  Badass-ness ensues, and through a bizarre twist, Esca, the slave, becomes the master.  Click the pic to watch the trailer.

The Aston Martin Club.

I’m a huge Aston Martin enthusiast, so when I got a message that the world’s first Aston Martin Club Lounge has just opened its doors, I got excited. The club is located at The Prime Society in Singapore’s Dempsey Hill neighborhood.  Created by Ingrid Prasatya, the lounge features custom-made tables crafted out of authentic Aston Martin wheel-rims as well as large-format prints of different car models.  Specially mixed cocktails in martini glasses referencing Aston Martin are also named after the different cars.  Aston Martin Club Singapore members and the public have the added privilege of a specially-designed cache locker to safe-keep their belongings.  I wonder if they play “Aston Martin Music” there?

Birdman – Fire Flame (Offical Video)

I’ve always been a fan of YMCMB, and weather people know it or not I’m bit more of a fan of Birdman than I am of his ‘son’.  So when I heard the song Fire Flame a while back, I was always curious as to what the video would look like.  So here it is, check the method below… and remember that this is what happens when some hood-folk get money. lol.

Bun B ft. Drake – Put It Down (Video Preview)

Diplo x BlackBerry

Diplo

It’s always great to see someone in your profession get some much deserved shine, so when I heard about Diplo’s BlackBerry commercial, I was waiting for it like a kid on christmas eve.  About a month had passed, and I had all but forgotten about it, and one night recently, sure enough, I was walking out of my house to head to a gig, and the “Love What You Do” commercial featuring Diplo came roaring on.  It’s a damn near inspiring commercial for someone in my line of work, so I wanted to share it.  Check the method below, and enjoy.

The name of the song at the end of the commercial is called “Make You Pop” by Diplo ft. Don Diablo

Nelly Furtado ft. WIley – Night Is Young

I’ve been getting more and more in touch with music from ‘over the pond’ recently, and came across a super dope remix of “Night Is Young”.  The track features the musical talents of Nelly Furtado, and lyrics from the Godfather of Grime himself Wiley, and is remixed by ‘Sketch Iz Dead’.  Normally I’d tell you to click the pic to get a hold of the song, but the powers that be have rendered the song itself too exclusive for civilians right now, so check the youtube video below to get a whiff of this greatness.  If you want to get a hold of the song itself, (I can’t make guarentee’s) but, hit Wiley up on twitter @Wileyartist.

The Fenix Supercar…

A new supercar under the Fenix Automotive banner and shares similarities with the old M12 and M400 cars, while it shares features like the general shape and specs as that of the Noble M600. The Fenix will be powered by a choice of Chevrolet V8 powerplants, so customers can choose between 480 Horsepower LS3 or the 638 HorsepowerLS9 from the Corvette ZR1. It has a projected curb weight of just 2,645 pounds which aids the supercharged Fenix to sprint from 0-100mph in under 7 seconds and also reach a top speed of 200 mph.

The company is developing its first prototype at it’s manufacturing facility in Port Elizabeth, South Africa. The level of performance and sophistication that Fenix offers is way better than the rival thorough bred sportscar at almost half the price. The Fenix supercar is expected to go on sale in the UK in the second half of 2010 and US as well.  Keep in mind, these are some of the first images to be released.

Love The Way You Lie Pt. 2

Seems like every so often in an abusive relationship, the two people involved leave, but just feel the need to come back and do it again eventually.  Same thing with Rihanna and Eminem apparently.  They’ve come together again to further the story of abusively love over a new gentler beat with the same serious tone and with Rihanna in the forefront this time.  There’s no doubt with this team up a second time around, they’ll do their best the beat the living crap out of this collab, and physically molest the pop charts with its success.  Click the pic to listen, (Courtesy of HHG)
