Kid Cudi – To The Top.

Click the pic to download.

Here’s some new Cudi for fans to add to their collection. Not much information is given for the track, but many have speculated that the origin of the line “that sh*t cray” to have been birthed through this song, which you can hear in the intro. Check it out, let me know what you think and download it above.

Ludacris – Can You Buy That?

Click the pic to listen.

Ludacris has always been an artist I’ve had a lot of respect for, and he doesn’t seem to be slowing down any time soon.  His newest release “Can You Buy That” is essentially another bragging rights track about what he has that most don’t.  This theme may seem a bit old or monotonous by now, but the beat, and a chorus laced with the sample “mutha f*cka can you buy that?!” has an interesting Kanye West type of feel to it that gives the song a unique edge.  His lyrics are sharp as ever, (he even quotes ‘Mortal Kombat’ and ‘Street Fighter’) and weather you like the subject matter or not, this track is a good one.  Click the pic above to take a listen.

Tyrese ft. T.I. – Fireworkz (Remix).

Click the pic to listen.

There are so many artists who cross genres of entertainment and up losing respect from some of their once loyal fans.  I’m not sure how much of that has happened to the R&B singer Tyrese, but I feel the opposite way.  You simply have to give the man his props for being able to draw an audience to a movie theater (Fast Five and of course Baby Boy), and still keep things rockin’ with songs like ‘Too Easy’ ft. Ludacris, and his newest remix featuring T.I. titled ‘Fireworkz’.  Click the pic to take a listen to the song.

Drake ft. Lil Wayne – The Motto.

Click the pic to listen.

Drake’s sophomore album ‘Take Care’ has had quite a few leaks in the few days, one of which caught not only my attention, but the attention of one of my brothers.  In an online rant one of my best friend mentioned Drake’s shout out to the Bay Area, and his “trying to adopt the Bay” when Drizzy stated “I’m in the buildin’ and I’m feelin’ myself. Rest in peace to Mac Dre, I’mma do it for the Bay”.  Personally I don’t think a shout out or two can be chalked up to more than some girl Drake screwed asking him to shout out her home town of Oakland.  However, I’m not originally from the Bay, so I may not see just how deeply Drake’s comment may have offended some.  But weather your from the Bay Area or not, click the pic to take a listen to ‘The Motto’, and let me know what you think it and the song as a whole.

Robin Thicke ft. Lil Wayne – Pretty Lil Heart.

Click the pic to take a listen.

Robin Thicke and Lil Wayne may appear to be a fairly random combination to the layman, but these two have teamed up in the past.  On Lil Wayne’s 2008 destroyer of an album ‘Tha Carter III’ the song ‘Tie My Hands’ featured a chorus from Thicke, and (in my personal opinion) was one of the best non-singles of the album.  Click the pic above to hear another collaboration from the duo titled ‘Pretty Lil Heart’.

Pac Div ft. Asher Roth – Useless.

Click the pic to listen.

The first time I remember seeing Pac Div was on the ‘Great Hangover’ Tour with Asher Roth, and the entire show they put on was praiseworthy.  So seeing Asher and the Pac on the same track doesn’t come as a surprise, what may surprise some is why they haven’t done this a million times before.  Click either of the pics to take a listen to the lyrical banger ‘Useless’.

Childish Gambino – All The Shine.

A grip of blogs posted an unofficial, leaked version of Childish Gambino‘s new track “All The Shine” yesterday. That was not the real shit, however. This is the real shit. Without further ado, please stream below the officially official album version of “All The Shine” as it will be heard on his forthcoming LP Camp, due out 11/15/11. This track (and CG’s entire oeuvre) may prompt you to ask the question “Is Childish Gambino serious?” To which the answer is: As an Emmy award winning comedian yes he’s funny. As an emcee, he’s no joke. Click either pic to download the track.

Travis Barker feat. Bun B, Beanie Sigel & Kobe – Just Chill.

No, the man in the photograph above is not Travis Barker, but he does take center stage is Barker’s newest video “Just Chill”.  Whatever their bond is (they both go to the same tattoo guy maybe?) Barker collects his friend after being released from prison in this poetic track about life’s choices, decisions, and repercussions.  The video was directed by Monsee and also stars Bun B, Beanie Sigel, and Kobe on the chorus.  Check the method below.

Shady Records 2.0 – 2011 BET Uncut Cypher.

No matter what crew your allegiance may be pledged to in rap, there’s denying that the new Shady Records team is a force to be reckoned with.  They proved this during the anxiously anticipated 2011 BET cypher this year.  Surprisingly enough however, Eminem wasn’t the only one spitting pure fire and brimstone.  Check the method below to see how the entire crew stacked up.

Kelly Rowland ft. Big Sean – Lay It On Me (Official Video).

Kelly Rowland has been bringing out hits since the earliest days in Destiny’s Child, but since her solo career started, her collabs have been off the chain.  Her newest track featuring Big Sean, titled ‘Lay It On me’ has been gaining popularity since it dropped, and now there’s an official video, check the method below.

T.I. ft. Big K.R.I.T. – I’m Flexin.

Click the pic to download.

Since breaking through with 2010′s K.R.I.T. Wuz Here, Big K.R.I.T. has been on rap’s fast track. As an MC, he has worked alongside Bun B, Ludacris and David Banner, and last week, he landed his biggest production credit yet with T.I.  On “I’m Flexin’,” Tip’s first single since being released from Prison last week, the Meridian, Mississippi, producer gave the Grand Hustle CEO a rocked-tinged, Southern-fried banger.  Click the pic to download.

Rick Ross – I Love B*tches.

Click the pic to listen.

Ricky Rosay has always been one for selecting the best beats to spit his lyrics over, but most recent collaboration with Just Blaze is a whole different animal.  Somewhere between a potential gangster anthem and a heartfelt declaration of his love for “b*tches”, Ross’s newest web release is definitely worth taking a listen to.  Click the pic above to check it out.

Big Sean ft. Nicki Minaj – A$$.

Click the pic to listen.

From the second this song begins, I start laughing uncontrolably.  I’m not sure if its the fact that Big Sean just repeats the word “ass” way too many times in this song, or if it’s the insane re-imagination of MC Hammer’s classic song sampled for this track.  But whatever reason it’s a laugh out of respect, ‘A$$’ is a truly entertaining song that would undoubtedly tear up the club if it gets past the politics of the music business and gets some air play.  Props to Big Sean for one of the funniest lines in a song I’ve heard in a while… “Drop that ass, make it boomerang.  (I’ll) take my belt off, B*TCH I’M POOTY TANG.”

T.I.’s First Interview Out Of Jail.

I respect anyone that can get up and admit when they’ve made a mistake, but you keep making the same mistake over and over, you better come back with a damn good apology.  That being said I was very interested to hear what T.I. would have to say on his first interview back from the slammer.  Check it out below.

N.O.R.E. ft Lil Wayne & Pharell.

Thanks to Spiff TV, N.O.’s been spotted on a remote island, but finally displays the video for his animal anthem featuring Weezy and Pharrell. S.U.P.E.R.T.H.U.G. coming soon. It’s popping, popping.  Check the method below.

T-Pain, Akon, Busta Rhymes – Jungle Booty.

Click the pic to download.

There are quite a few discussions per week between my friends and I that concern hilarious things that rappers, actors and sports stars do or say, but last night I was crying with laughter.  One of my favorite new songs on the web by T-Pain, Akon, and Busta Rhymes happened to cause a stir with one of my homeboys.  (Duckworth of Tokyo 24).  He was a bit puzzled by the fact that someone could actually enjoy a song titled “Jungle Booty”, however, after the first minute of listening to the track, he was quite understanding.  Despite the odd title, the song has a solid club-aimed beat, and 3 of the best musicians in the hip hop game to date on it… so how could it not be good?  Click the pic to take a listen.

KJ – Ex Explanation.

Click the pic to download

It’s always hard to see someone in your life walk away (for whatever reason).  Be it an ex-girlfriend, and ex-boyfriend, an ex-client, or a best friend, there’s always some part of the brain or heart that yearns for that individual to come back.  Seeing as how my good friend, the emcee extraordinaire KJ is leaving the Bay for a bit, I only figured it’d be fitting that I release her track about missing loved ones to the world.  Re-engineered, and re-edited, KJ’s singing debut about missing someone special seemed like the perfect goodbye present.  Click the pic to download.

Lil Wayne Taking Shots At Jay-Z?

Click the pic to listen.

Weezy’s Carter IV album has prematurely leaked and the song ‘It’s Good’ is already creating a lot of noise due to Lil Wayne’s shots at Jay-z.  On Jay-Z and Kanye’s track ‘H.A.M.,’ Jay said ‘You got Baby Money.’ Now it looks like Lil Wayne is firing back with the lines:

Talkin’ ‘bout baby money, I gotcha baby money
Kidnap your bitch get that how much you love your lady money
I know you fake, nigga Press your brakes, nigga
I’ll take you out, that’s a date, nigga
I’m a grown ass blood, stop playing with me
Play asshole, and get an ass whippin’
I think you pussycat, hello kitty.

Drake and Jadakiss are also featured and the track and ‘kiss wants you to make sure he wasn’t aware of the diss:

Grafh ft. Joe Buddens – It’s Just Music (Official Video).

Everybody knows rappers have beef from time to time, and sometimes there’s a happy ending, but many times there isn’t.  That being said, I’m glad that whatever it was that Grafh and Joe Buddens had disagreed on is long gone, and they can come together and make good music.  The track ‘It’s Just Music’ also featuring Shalone is exactly what I’d expect from two of people on my list of favorite musicians.

B.O.B. – High Life.

Check out the new single from B.o.B, High Life produced by The Aristrocrats.

Tokyo 24 – Aeonian Complex EP.

Click the pic to listen.

The group Tokyo 24 has been compared to the likes of Theophilus London, N.E.R.D., and Kanye West, all without having released either an EP, or LP.  But the hype has been building when the group announced their first EP project Aeonian Complex.  (I’ve even posted a few of the preliminary ads on the blog last week) And finally the finished product is out on the web for fans and new finders alike to listen to and enjoy.  Click the pic to hear ‘Aeonian Complex’.

HTC Teams Up With Beats By Dre.

The marriage of these two companies is very, very good. We are very good for each other,” says Jimmy Iovine, the chairman of Interscope Geffen A&M Records and co-founder of Beats By Dr. Dre with rapper/producer Dr. Dre. “With HTC’s innovation, technology and leadership, we feel we can really compete with anybody in this area.”

Drake – Headlines.

The hype, buzz, speculation and anticipation for Drizzy Drake’s sophomore album has been growing as the days of summer pass.  Finally today I got a listen to his first single off the album entitled “Headlines”.  It’s a slower, more soulful track, where Drake addresses some of the things he’s heard in the time between ‘Thank Me Later’ and ‘Take Care’, and his own interpretation of his position in his career.  I personally found a lot of the points he made very interesting and introspective… but we all know most women will just listen to the sound of his voice.  But click the pic above to hear “Headlines”.

Meek Mills & Rick Ross Talk Music.

You have to admit that when certain artists start their careers, you never know what direction they’ll go in. In 05, I never really pictured Rick Ross having as stellar as a career as he’s undeniably having right now. But with hit after hit, he’s locked down a solid spot in Rap infamy. And with the advent of “Maybach Music” he’s bringing people like Meek Mills along for the ride with him. So when Rick and Mills got on the mic to speak about their ‘I’m A Boss’ remix, I was listening intently. Check the method.

Download Lil Wayne’s ‘Sorry 4 The Wait’ Mixtape.

Click the pic to download the mixtape.

Mixtapes are an excellent avenue for an artist to make the music that they want to make, instead of staying under the constraints of a record label.  But Lil Wayne takes mixtapes to a whole different level.  “No Ceilings” was a monster hit all around the country, and still has tracks in rotation all over radio stations and the web.  “Sorry 4 The Wait” is Wayne’s way of apologizing for the constant pushes on the release of The Carter 4, and I know the world is dying to hear what he has to say.  Click the pic to download the mixtape.
