Miquel Starcevich is an american based photographer with a lot of talent. His talent lead him to create more and better pieces from Snoop Dogg, to Game passing by Courtney Love or Adam Levine, he shot a certain amount of celebrities, creating cool portraits to present.
Once Nintendo Gameboy was the most favorite gaming consol. Now again you can revive those memories. A geek at Instructables has hijacked the Dot Matrix Gameboy and gutted it to take advantage of an Android Gamepad. The smart-jacking procedure involves a Wii Controller IME and a faulty Dot Matrix Gameboy that has no use nowdays. The Gameboy, after the successful alteration into Gamepad, works for any application or game that involves Android keyboard input and needs only a Bluetooth connection to get connected with android tablet/phone. Currently, it’s only been tested on Galaxy Nexus and as a SNES emulator but may work for any Android based tablet or phone, as said by its creator.
Game grabs Lil Wayne, Chris Brown, Tyga and Wiz Khalifa for the first single off his upcoming F.I.V.E. album, due out later this year. The track is called “Celebration” and the producer behind it is Sap. Check out the video below.
Gucci elevates the simple game to a new level of refinement with its leather board, case, game pieces, and storage pouch, each embossed with the signature Gucci emblem. The Checkers Set in Brown Leather by Gucci is priced at $4,350.
Halo 4 and the Master Chief got its gameplay debut yesterday during Microsoft’s E3 2012 conference with a colossal gameplay trailer using both live action and also Xbox 360 in-game footage.
Originally thought to be the flagship game for the potentially upcoming Xbox 720, the now Xbox 360-bound trailer shed light on both what the Halo 4 single player campaign would look like and also showcased both the new-look Covenant and ancient foes the Forerunners.
The trailer also shed light on the Halo 4 plot revealing that the Master Chief would not be the only human stranded on the Forerunner planet, he will be joined by the surviving crew members of the UNSC Infinity, a titanic exploration vessel that has been pulled onto the planets surface.
Appearing for the first time are the Forerunners, previously mentioned but never-before-seen creators of the Halos and the Ark. Combining both technology and organic life they bring with them an entirely new arsenal of weapons that will sit alongside the classic Halo Battle Rifle.
Finally the trailer was able to expand further on the relationship between the Master Chief and Cortana, the ancient AI that he both protects and relies on for help.
While little is known about her, Cortana’s back story was touched on by Halo Reach and looks to be expanded upon by Halo 4 with the Artificial Intelligence having to face the prospect of mortality.
Microsoft have revealed that the Halo 4 release date is 6th November and will be exclusively available for Xbox 360 with both the standard version and a Limited Edition available.

Knowing your colors is something you probably stopped focusing on after pre-school. A vast majority of us see a color wheel and don’t think twice, but for a graphic designer, color can mean everything. The Color Game is actually more like a test, designed by Maria Munuera and Mark MacKay, and tests matching some colors arrangements in an allotted time. Click the pic to take a shot at it.

As I normally do for vacations, I always put up one last post so readers know why I’ve stopped posting all of a sudden. This weekend, I’ll be at U.S.C. for homecoming once again. And this year, (just like LAST YEAR) I’m sure things are going to be a rawkus jumble of work, fun, and excessive drinking. So that being said, if your a religious post reader, sit tight until Monday when I can cure my soon to be hangover and get back to work. For those of you who don’t know what kerning is, Ashley F. and Reggie Sylvester HATE you. (Just kidding). For those of you who don’t know what kerning is, it’s the, the term kerning refers to adjusting the space between two letters. If letters in a typeface are spaced too uniformly, they make a pattern that doesn’t look uniform enough. Gaps occur, for example, around letters whose forms angle outward or frame an open space (W, Y, V, T, L). But learning kerning is something thats crucial for every graphic designer. Above is a little game that help you get your kerning act together. Even if you’ve never been a graphic design major, check it out, and see how good you are at it. Your mission is simple: achieve pleasant and readable text by distributing the space between letters. Your solution will be compared to a typographer’s solution, and you will be given a score depending on how close you nailed it. Good luck.
For the launch of the game “Deus Ex: Human Revolution,” Square Enix commissioned filmmaker Rob Spence to investigate prosthetics, cybernetics and human augmentation. Spence is a self-proclaimed cyborg who lost one eye, and replaced it with a wireless video camera. He is now known as “Eyeborg”, check his story out below, and BEWARE… the film contains some pretty gruesome surgery footage.
After more delays than a space shuttle launch, Compton rapper the Game will finally have his reward next week when his endlessly pushed-back fourth effort, The R.E.D. Album, debuts at #1 on the Billboard 200 albums chart. According to figures provided by SoundScan, the disc moved just under 98,000 copies, enough to grab the top spot but well below the first-week figures for his 2008 album LAX, which opened with 239,000 in sales. Either way, it’s just enough to beat out Jay-Z and Kanye West’s Watch the Throne, which drops to #2 in its third week, as sales dove 47 percent to 94,000 for a three-week total just north of 707,000.
Everyone in the hip hop industry is well aware of the hit making capability of beat master Scott Storch. He’s a legend who’s worked with The Roots, Dr. Dre, Christina Aguilera, Fat Joe, Game, 50 Cent, Paris Hilton, and Nox, (just to name a few). About 2 years ago, I took a trip to London, and got my wallet jacket. So with no money, no I.D., no credit cards, or travelers checks, my friend and I decided to play a little game with people to make some money. It’s called by many names all over the world, but its the same basic concept. It consists of an item (a ball, wadded up piece of news paper, or whatever) underneath a cup, or bottle cap, and the “controller” scrambles them around, and you have to pick which one said item is under. We’ve all seen it a million times, and when you play for subway money, the controller tends to cheat. But when you play online there’s no cheating, just an absurd amount of speed that the computer can put on spins. So try your luck, do you best, and click the pic to figure out where the ‘red’ is.

During the Lil Wayne ‘I Am Still Music’ concert I attended on Easter, Weezy stopped the show and told the crowd to throw their hands up if they were raised in the hood, and I had to keep it real, be honest, and keep quiet… until my assistant started screaming, (at which point I had to break my silence tell her to shut up, because she wasn’t raised in the hood either). But regardless of my upbringing, I still thoroughly enjoy DJ Khaled’s song ‘Welcome To My Hood”, and hearing his fully loaded remix is dope, but the video is even doper, check the method below.

A collab between Lil Wayne and Game is as dope to me as a collab between Wayne and Eminem, and although this isn’t the first, I personally feel like this is one of the best. Wayne and Game’s single “My Life” was a dope single, and got a very good positive response from the listening public, but the track “Red Nation” is a whole different animal. The beat, is a re-imagining of an old school classic (just like tons of other rap songs these days) but they lyrical delivery by both Game and Wayne is attention grabbing to say the least. There’s a certain ferocity and angst that they both have in representing their set that makes the track pop, and they both manage to do it without dissing Crips, which I found interesting. Repeating patterns are at the heart of most wallpapers, as they are part of the core of many simple, old-school, paper-and-pen games. While elementary in design (and execution), these basic black-and-white wallpaper designs feature an element of creative, unique and ultimately unpredictable emergent design that makes them grow more complex with time. The first layer – the original printed design – is as simple as it gets: a series of mazes, tic-tac-toe boards and crossword puzzles that naturally lend themselves to virtually infinite extension in any direction. Created by CinqCinq, these have been placed as the backdrops of art installations and waiting room interiors- perfect places to encourage spontaneous interaction.
By setting out specific colors of pencil, pen, crayon or marker, the designer (or space owner) gets to exert another level of control but ultimately leaves the finished product in the hands of people who pass through a given space. The palette is provided, but the rest evolves in a curiously natural way (and helps beat the boredom of waiting). The neatest part, arguably, is the way in which the original pattern actually fades as you step away from the wall surface – the thin black lines dissolve against a largely-white surface, and the colorful overlays end up taking over as the dominant visual component. Given sufficient time, the original pattern could potentially disappear entirely, leaving only added layers showing.
