The Lamborghini Pregunta, which made its debut at the 1998 Paris Auto Show, is now up for sale for $2.1 million. It was acquired by Autodrome, a French specialist in vintage exotics. The Pregunta was an aerospace-influenced supercar with carbon fiber bodywork, a 530-horsepower V12 and a claimed 207-mile-per-hour top speed. It employed rear-wheel drive instead of the Diablo’s all-wheel drive, was coated in the same paint used on the French military’s Dassault Rafale fighter jet and had fiber optic lighting, rear-view cameras and a GPS system. It was shown to the world at the 1998 Paris Motor Show, and again at the 1999 Geneva Motor Show. You can watch it hit the runway with a Rafale in the video below.

Check out this concept car created by Polish designer Paweł Czyżewski. The Bugatti Gangloff Concept is a design study of a sleek super car inspired by the 1938 Type 57 SC Atalante Coupe one-off. The name Gangloff is from the French coach-builder that created the Type 57 SC Atalante. As you can see from features like the size air intakes and the horsehoe grill, the car also brings in cues from the Veyron. “In times of commercial trash and plastic it is hard to see something that has a soul and is able to squeeze out a positive mark on the heart,” Czyzewski said about the car.

French luxury brand Louis Vuitton is to open ‘Cabinet d’Ecriture’ pop-up store in Paris this December with a focus on luxury writing instruments and paper products. The new 750-square-foot (70 square meter) shop will be decorated with antique desks, and original Louis Vuitton book trunks. Customers will be able to indulge in a range of writing instruments including luxury pencils and pens (ballpoint, pencil, fountain and roller), leather notebook holders, writing sets, and other paper products. A fountain pen, wrapped luxuriously in alligator skin and featuring a newly patented cartridge system which prevents the pen from leaking in airplanes.
A French video game collector just sold a collection of thousands of video games on eBay for more than $1.2 million. The collection includes every video game for many of Nintendo’s consoles, every video game for every single Sega console and also for lesser-known game consoles. In total, the collection includes 22 full sets with about 7,000 video games. The seller says he took exceptionally good care of his precious games. All are factory-sealed with original boxes and instructions. Many of the games have never been opened or played. He even kept the boxes away from direct sunlight. The efforts seem to have paid off, as a buyer from Canada has purchased the lot for the asking price of 999,999 euro (around $1.23m) for this jaw-dropping collection.

A luxurious on-ground villa, that offers to its residents the comfort, spaciousness and interior flexibility but yet immobile? Or a limited in space and wavering but at the same time capable of transferring you to any place you want yacht? That could always be the question faced by clients of the luxury leisure sector. Trying to address this issue while simultaneously implementing the know-how and craftsmanship of both companies, the Monaco-based yacht maker Wally and the luxury French brand Hermès, created WHY – a state-of the-art vessel, for which the idea of the hull was initially taken from a seismic vessel, and was redesigned and adapted to the needs of the sea. The outcome was a super-luxurious yacht which measures 58 meters long and 38 meters wide and can accommodate 12 guests and 20 crew members.
The interior of the yacht follows the high standards of the design companies and is fitted out with water resistant leather, whereas wood is used in most of the interior areas of the vessel. The total 3.400m² guest surface areas, is divided into three different levels containing all rooms that could be found in a luxury villa such as lounges, dining rooms, libraries and spa areas.
The yacht has been tested under various conditions and the outcome is that under unfavorable weather conditions it remains more stable than any other of its type, and when anchored it creates a flat surface behind it where swimmers feel as if they are in an Olympic-sized pool. Since the aim of the project is to create a boat that imitates the specifications of a luxury villa but also has the advantages of a boat, it also means that the vessel must be so stable so that the guests can engage in the same activities as they would on the ground. WHY’s ability to offer this, is probably proved by the fact that it carries around it a real jogging track inspired by coastal paths.
Within the realm of electronic music, no song is safe from becoming remixed and France’s Cherokee has chosen to rework Daft Punk’s 2001 single “Something About Us.” The transformation of the iconic duo’s record sees a relaxed melody and over all simplistic instrumentation. So while many are undoubtedly loyal to the legendary French group, this is still something you should check out. Click the pic above to take a listen.

I’ve been to many countries around the world, both as a child with my parents, and as an adult for work, but when I recently got an offer to play a fashion show in Paris, France I wanted to do some research. I haven’t been to Paris in over 10 years, so I wanted to get a little insight into what else I could get into besides the night life if I took the job. One of the most interesting videos I came across was an ad for students who may be deliberating on what country to study abroad in. Although this video hasn’t swayed me decision on weather or not to take the job, I wanted to put it up just because I thought it was stylistically awesome. Check the method.

According to UK publication The Telegraph, the fashion-conscious rapper is getting ready to show his first full men’s and women’s ranges this fall. Kanye West is currently working on the high-end creations, based out of a studio in central Paris, the paper quotes a source. Just last year, he had told Elle: “Did you not see the Lindsay [Lohan] and Ungaro collection? That was 9/11 for celebrities doing fashion. After that I thought: ‘Well I can’t do a line now’.”
But the big-mouthed entertainer seems to have changed his mind, having already released a collection of luxury scarves with design collective M/M Paris last month. Kanye West previously released sneakers with French luxe label Louis Vuitton and upped his fashion credentials with design internships including at US retailer Gap and Italian design house Fendi.
With the series “The World Inside off Custom”, artist Dan Mountford from Brighton shows us the extent of his talent around the idea of a double exposures. I’m no stranger to a good beatbox, in fact, aside from DJ videos, I’d say beatbox videos are the ones I look up most often. There’s just something about being able to replicate such a wide variety of sounds without any instrument, or tool is fascinating to me. So when I read about the French beatboxer Eklipse and his 4 minute long session documenting the evolution of Hip Hop, I was interested. When I actually saw it, my reaction was like whhaaa?… So I felt the need to share.
Among the many thing I was impressed with, I have to say that his ability to emulate rappers voices is quite impressive. I’ve heard Eklipse speak before, and when it’s in English, his accent is quite thick, so be able to replicate Busta Rhymes, Method Man, and Lil Wayne with 90% precision is remarkable.
So I can already hear my phone going off with all my fashion forward friends telling me that this post is “SO October 2010″ but I don’t care, I still think it’s dope. Vogue had its 90th anniversary party late last year with a very interesting theme. Check the pics below and let me know what you think. The party was held at the Hotel Pozzo di Borgo, and Carine Roitfeld, the Editor-in-Chief of the French edition of Vogue, hosted the masked ball that was inspired by Stanley Kubrick’s film Eyes Wide Shut. Among the magazine’s favourite designers, performers and cover girls that came together to celebrate were Christian Louboutin, Jean Paul Gaultier, Tyra Banks, Gisele Bundchen, Kate Moss, Lara Stone (who stars on the cover of the 90th anniversary issue), Karolina Kurkova, Dita Von Teese, Craig David and Jade Jagger.
I know I’ve said once or twice that I used to be a 3D animation major before getting into the studio engineering field. As a former animator I have an eye for sick talent in places where most people wouldn’t appreciate the skill and time put into a piece of work. The short animation Après la Pluie is essentially about a boy’s imagination taking him through a crazy episode with a giant fish that loves bananas. (Kinda wacky, I know.) But none the less, its a visually appealing animation from the colors used, to the effects, to the melding of different styles of animation. So if your at work with a few minutes before your boss passes by, or just at school or home, check it out.
No, this is not some sort of ‘Super-P*ssy’… The Incredibox is a functional and funny flash-based music making system. Its very basic, but it is capable of creating some unique and interesting musical selections by handling a selection of human “beat-box” loops provided by the french artist.
