She’s Too Good.

Everyone knows,or a has met an extremely attractive girl who sits comfortably in the mindset that she’s too good for any man that ever approaches her.  The song “She’s Too Good” was created with the intent of speaking to “all the guys who’ve loved and lost… their dignity, trying to get the hot chick.”

Chris Brown – I Don’t Like (Drake Diss).

Did you think the Chris Brown and Drake drama was finished? Of course it isn’t. Chris Brown hops on Chief Keef’s “I Don’t Like,” and drops some lyrical darts at his fellow light-skinned antagonist. Although Breezy makes it clear that he has no problems at all with the other members of YMCMB, he makes it crystal clear his beef is with Drake and it is over Rihanna.

“A f-ck ni**a, that’s that sh-t I don’t like/They throwin’ bottles, I’m throwin’ models just ’cause I give a Itchbay long pipe,” raps Breezy. “I be singin’, he be singin’, so it’s on, fight/ But hold up, I ain’t give a ni**a no green light/ This head up, my bread up, one on one, what you scared, bruh?/ Matter fact, take care bruh, you a pu**y ni**a/ My ni**a Tunechi, yeah that ni**a nice/ Shout out to Nicki, man, that A$$ tight/ Them eyebrows, man, them sh-ts is yikes/ OVO, you overdosed, screamin’ YOLO no, I live twice.”

Samuel L. Jackson – Beez In The Trap.

Millions of Nicki Minaj fans all over the world not only love and adore her music, but are enthused by the way she dresses.  The pink wigs, the crazy costume-esque attire, and the wild and crazy accessories all add to Minaj’s swagger.  But it’s rare to see someone who would wouldn’t expect taking on Nicki’s pink wig, and singing one of her songs… Much less Samuel L Jackson, one of the most gangster mother f*ckers of all time.

Flo Rida – Let It Roll (Keith Apicary Video).

Flo Rida takes a different approach on his most recent video “Let It Roll”. Trying out a YouTube sensation to hopefully get a viral campaign started, Flo Rida has hired comedian Keith Apicary’s to dance crazy all over Miami. Fortunately for us, most of the people watching Keith don’t seem to know it’s all a joke.

2 Chainz feat. Drake – No Lie (Official Video).

Finally, 2 Chainz is set to take off, releasing a music video for the Drake-assisted “No Lie”, the first single off his highly anticipated debut, Based on a T.R.U. Story.  In the Director X-directed, black-and-white clip, the duo get artsy, performing amongst white rooms with black paint dripping slowly down the walls. Shots of women in masks and other imagery are dispersed in between their performances.  Based on a T.R.U. Story is slated to drop August 14th.

50 Cent ft. Kidd Kidd – OJ (Official Video).

50 Cent gets locked up in the comical video for “OJ,” yet another release off his Gangsta Grillz mixtape The Lost Tape.” But this ain’t your ordinary prison experience. Sporting an orange jumpsuit, the G-Unit chief cruises the jail house halls eating Cheez-Its, performing a blessing in the church, and making out with the female warden. Watch 50 take charge behind bars.

Will.I.Am’s next single “This Is Love” is sure to do better than his first single “T.H.E”. Here is the video for this Steven Angello produced track with Eva Simons on the hook.

Lil Wayne ft. Big Sean – My Homies Still.

Lil Wayne has given a taste of his upcoming album by debuting its first single “My Homies Still”, featuring Big Sean. The bouncy track uses the “Go Stupid” hook from the G.O.O.D. Music rapper’s hit “Dance (A$$)” and is produced by STREETRUNNER and Saron from Spliffington Management.

Hours before he dropped the song, the Young Money rapper unleashed an artwork for the track. The image simply features the song’s title written in red letters with a plain black background. The single itself is expected to be listed in Weezy’s upcoming album which is tentatively titled “I Am Not a Human Being Pt. 2″.

Interestingly, Weezy has been involved in a feud with Sean’s fellow G.O.O.D. Music member Pusha T. Pusha T started the beef by releasing “Exodus 23:1″ in which he rapped about Weezy’s artist Drake. Responding to it, Weezy later released “Goulish” which took a jab at the one half of the hip hop duo Clipse.

Speaking of a potential conflict that may arise with the inclusion of Sean in Weezy’s single, Young Money president Mack Maine tells MTV News, “That was a great song that was made before that situation happened.” He adds, “I’m not ’bout to go into the studio and tell Wayne to take [Big Sean] off. Wayne not tryna take him off – he’s good peeps, he’s fam.”

No Church In The Wild.

Instead of kaleidoscopic wizardry and flashy, Aziz Ansari-approved sports cars, the bleakly shot, Romain Gavras-directed video focuses on a violent yet somehow vaguely boring uprising in the streets of Prague. Dissatisfied youth, aggressive police, burning cars — you get the idea.  While watching it, I was secretly wishing that one of the rioters would take off his bandana and reveal himself to be Jay or ‘Ye, ready to spice things up a bit. Alas, prayers fell on deaf ears, and five minutes later, the video ends with… more rioting.  I’m not saying we have to see famous people in every music video, but when a project is basically built on megastar wattage like the Throne is, it wouldn’t hurt.  Check the method.

A-Trak & Dillon Francis – “Money Makin’” (Official Video).

Bow Wow ft. T Pain – Better.

Lil Wayne vs. Pusha T.

Drake: “Are you sure you wanna diss him?”

In my community, the barber shop is normally a place where men go, and engage in conversation about whatever, and over at my boy Q’s place, discussions about the rap game are as common as hair on the floor.  Lil Wayne and Pusha T are both miraculous lyricists, but its a well known fact that Lil Wayne doesn’t normally engage in beef.  Today however, I got an earfull of Weezy taking a wide open shot at Pusha in a new freestyle above.  Below is another new release from Lil Tunchi incase you’re not interested in the beef.

Wiz Khalifa – Work Hard Play Hard (Official Video).

We have no doubt that Wiz Khalifa puts as much effort into his partying as he does into his work, so the video for his single “Work Hard Play Hard” instead offers a glimpse into many others’ struggle to power through the day — and have it pay off for them at night. We see construction workers, ballet dancers, athletes and regular folk put their time in, intercut with scenes of club shenanigans. For Wiz, partying is a full-time job as it is.

Kreayshawn ft. 2 Chainz – Breakfast (Official Video).

Kreayshawn famously inked a million-dollar deal with Columbia last year, and this summer, we’ll probably see the first physical product from the partnership, Something’ Bout Kreay. Today, though, I saw the extremely fun, silly video for “Breakfast (Syrup),” featuring the most raucous breakfast party to ever be witnessed in a music video (that I’m aware of). Lyrical samplings: “Call me Kreay Hefner / Playboy Bunny,” “Stackin’ dough / Breakfast.” 2 Chainz, who is on every song now, shows up with some syrup and a Wayne-checking verse. It’s their second recent collaboration, so they might as well make an album.  Watch it below.

Jeff Phantom & DJ Storm – Swerve.

Click the pic to download.

On an average of about once a month, DJ Jeff Phantom and I got together since February to put out some podcast mixes that started with Project X, and are now culminating in the 30 minute mix session titled ‘Swerve’.  With it being half Hip Hop, and half Electro/House/Dubstep, tons of ideas, mashups, and remixed were thrown around during the early phase of putting things together, but in the end we felt it was just best to just rock live on the turn tables for about 15 minutes each.  Click the player below to listen, and we hope you enjoy.
