Marc Jacobs Designed Coca-Cola Cans

Marc-Jacobs-Diet-Coke-468x636 Marc-Jacobs-Diet-Coke-can

Coca-Cola has launched a limited-edition collection of Diet Coke cans designed by their creative director Marc Jacobs to fete the soda brand’s anniversary in Europe. The trio of cans pays tribute to the fashion decades of the 1980s, 90s and 2000s, with each silhouette created to incarnate the woman of her time. Inspired by the bright lights of Broadway and Radio City Music Hall where the zero-calorie drink first made its global debut in 1982, Jacobs sets a tuxedoed woman against a motif of butterfly bowties for the 1980s, for instance. The 1990s were marked by glamour and “sartorial audacity,” represented by a dame clad in a fuchsia frock, long gloves, stiletto heels and extravagant felt hat. And, according to Jacobs, the first decade of 2000 can be characterized by a collision of sporty chic energy, incarnated by a silhouette sporting a bob, geometric stripes and a houndstooth bikini bottom. Jacobs takes over from Jean Paul Gaultier who served as creative director for Diet Coke in 2012. The Marc Jacob cans are now available across Europe.

The HITGallery boutiques, slated to open around the globe, features several, if not all, of the lines Ittiere represents. The next store in line will be the Milan flagship but in the meanwhile, Ittierre has just opened a 1,000-square-meter temporary store, IT’S 30 MANZONI, at Palazzo Scotti Gallarati in Milan’s luxury neighborhood. In a media release, Fabio Novembre is quoted as saying that The HITGallery stores capture the essence and spirit of Italy by, for example, taking inspiration from the surreal atmospheres of the artist Giorgio De Chirico.

The A Due Colori Collection.

Seveso_01Seveso_05 Seveso_03 Seveso_02

Italian artist Alberto Seveso was born in Milan, but is now working as a freelancer in Portoscuso, Sardinia-Italy. His passion for graphic art started when he was in a young age and he was really fascinated by the graphic of skate decks and the cover of music CD of metal bands. From this passion he started to create his artwork. In his series ‘A due colori’ Seveso experiments with high-speed photography while trying to find a new way to make something beautiful using ink and water. Loving to play with colors and tones, this series embodies the concept of stopping time through ink in the image.

Slvstr ‘Season:00′ Look Book.

For a long time, I’ve been looking for clothing with simple style, that still stands out from the gambit of street wear out there right now.  Recently I found exactly what I was looking for when I was introduced to the Slvstr line.  The first collection styled to mock current luxury brands instantly intrigued me.  And Slvstr’s “Blue Panther” ideology behind the clothing got me interested in more work from the lead designer Reggie Sylvester.  To find out more check out the official site at Slvstr.com

Converse x Oscar Niemeyer Collection

American shoe company Converse has launched a new limited edition collection inspired by Brazilian architect Oscar Niemeyer’s work. The 104-year-old modernist architect, whose iconic buildings include the Cathedral of Brasilia, reworked five classic styles for Converse, which also reached its 104th birthday this year. The trainers, which have a subdued palette of cream and white with dashes of red, are said to be inspired by Niemeyer’s famous quote about curves:

“It is not the right angle that attracts me, nor the straight line, hard and inflexible, created by man. What attracts me is the free and sensual curve – the curve that I find in the mountains of my country, in the sinuous course of its rivers, in the body of the beloved woman.”

The footwear collection consists of the following sneakers: Chuck Taylor All Star Hi, Chuck Taylor All Star Oxford, Chuck Taylor All Star Chukka Boot, Skid Grip Oxford and also the iconic Jack Purcell.

The PartyCloud.

When it comes to different amalgamations of Disk Jockeying, there is an endless field of ways to show your talent with the same act.  iPads, iPods, DJ controllers, beat pads, or turn tables, can all be used to rock a crowd, but with the advent of Party Cloud, things have changed a little.  Using any computer with an internet connection, a DJ can potentially spin a party using just the website alone.  For me personally I don’t know if its more a useful tool, or yet another way for people to cheapen an art (much like Guitar Hero did for people who ACTUALLY play those songs on the guitar).  But check it out and let the crew know what you think.

The Dark Knight Rises DVD.

As it continues to bring in no shortage of cash in cinemas around the world, attention is nonetheless slowly turning as to when Christopher Nolan’s final Batman film, The Dark Knight Rises, is heading to DVD and Blu-ray. And we might just have the first hint of an answer.

Amazon Germany is generally one of the first to go live with a release date, and it’s now got both the DVD and Blu-ray of The Dark Knight Rises up for pre-order. The artwork isn’t finalised, but the site is listing Friday 30th November 2012 as when to expect the film. That’s not generally used as a holding date for Amazon Germany either, which tends to use 28th December as a list date for titles where it’s not got a firm release date hammered down.

Friday isn’t a traditional day to release a DVD/Blu-ray into the world, granted, but Warner Bros has made high profile exceptions in the past. The other rumored date that has been doing the rounds is Friday 7th December, but Amazon Germany is the first shopping site we’ve seen that’s officially come forward with any date.

And take a look at an amazing fan made trailer for the entire Dark Knight Trilogy…

The Mayfourteeth Look Book.

Introducing the Spring/Summer 2012 Mayfourteenth Eyewear collection. The 2012 frames were inspired by the tranquility of island life and wanderlust, and draw from elements resemblant to the striking patterns and colors of the beaches and jungles of coastal South America.

The new campaign was photographed by Dustin Aksland at his Manhattan studio and inspired by Ishla Grande and the coastal bungalows of Angra Dos Reis, Brazil.

The new collection uses a contrasting color palette of chocolate browns and carmel yellows inspired by the delicious torte and dulce de leche from the Villa do Abrao desert carts, mixed with moody blues and crystals reminiscent of the sun beaming off of the islands clear waters. Subtle tortoise and jaguar markings continue the theme of deviated patterns from nature.

Continuing with the theme of contemporary classic, Mayfourteenth’s delivery focuses both on texture and form. Thicker, bigger, and bolder frames all wearable from summer through autumn.  Mayfourteenth Eyewear is handmade using vintage Mazzucchelli acetate and fitted with optical quality CR-39 lens.  Made with careful hands and designed with sophisticated style.

The 1 Million Dollar Video Game Collection.

A French video game collector just sold a collection of thousands of video games on eBay for more than $1.2 million.  The collection includes every video game for many of Nintendo’s consoles, every video game for every single Sega console and also for lesser-known game consoles. In total, the collection includes 22 full sets with about 7,000 video games.  The seller says he took exceptionally good care of his precious games. All are factory-sealed with original boxes and instructions. Many of the games have never been opened or played. He even kept the boxes away from direct sunlight.  The efforts seem to have paid off, as a buyer from Canada has purchased the lot for the asking price of 999,999 euro (around $1.23m) for this jaw-dropping collection.

Marat Dupri: The Russian Daredevil.

These are the dizzying pictures of Dubai taken from on top of the tallest skyscrapers in the world by a daredevil Russian teenager.  Student Marat Dupri has made it it his mission to scale the highest buildings he can find before dangling precariously over their edges to take his extraordinary shots.  The fearless 19-year-old, who only bought his first camera just two years ago, started by sneaking past guards and climbing on to the roofs of Moscow landmarks, before setting his sights even higher – on Dubai’s towering structures.

Mr Dupri then travelled from Russia to Dubai after being enticed by the extravagant high-rise buildings. There, the teenager and his friends enthusiastically climbed the buildings until they had captured these amazing images.  The student said:

‘When I’m on the roof I have a feeling that the whole world is by my feet. All my problems and trouble are left somewhere down.  The height exhilarates me. It gives me energy and fills with enthusiasm to make new and great shots.  I had always been interested in photography and a couple of years ago, I bought my first proper camera.  I wanted to try and get the most spectacular pictures I could – pictures like no-one else had taken before.  I began by taking pictures from my own roof, but soon I wanted to get bigger and better pictures.  So I went with my friend to the top of a 33-storey building. It was about 120 metres high and we went right out to the edge and I started taking pictures.  It was such a thrill, we couldn’t wait to do it again.  I’ve taken a lot of the photos by sneaking past guards and getting access to structures illegally.  But I think the risks are worth it to take such amazing pictures.’

The Ultimate Blowjob.

Although the photo above probably isn’t too far from what my face looks like right before the end of a blowjob, this post has nothing to do with oral sex.  Lithuanian photographer and artist Tadao Cern has been working on a series of hilarious photographs where the subject is facing a strong wind directly in their face. Warning it could give some scary results.  If you wonder how the photo series was created, check out the following behind the scene video by Tadao Cern.

Furniture Collection “Fiore”

The following Asian-inspired furniture collection from B-alance is called Fiore and consists of modular set of sofas, coffee tables and footstools. The elegantly curved pieces call to mind the balance of yin and yang. Their curves allow to perfectly snuggle up to one another, creating all kinds of creative configurations. And dark rattan frames and plush white cushions would bring style and sophistication to any patio or deck.

Natrual Stone Sinks.

Yesterday I got a look at these original natural stone bathroom sinks that look appealing and genuine. Even though their color differs from one model to another, their essence is the same: raw natural beauty.  It may sound like a cliche, but can you think of a more elegant way to bring nature inside your bathroom? This type of stone sink would go great in a minimalist interior, complimented by various wood features.

Angelina Jolie’s Jerlery Collection.

The Style of Jolie jewelry line designed in collaboration between Angelina Jolie and Robert Procop is set to go on display in the South of France this summer via two month-long pop-ups.  An array of necklaces, earrings and bracelets worn by the actress at various movie premieres will hit the Grand Hotel in Cap Ferrat and Monaco‘s prestigious Hotel de Paris concurrently between July 15 and August 15.  The movie star showcased her jewelry collaboration during an expo at Julien’s Gallery in Beverly Hills back in April last year, while the new French exhibition is set to showcase some additional new jewels.

Proceeds from the sale of the jewelry will be donated to the star’s charitable foundation, the Education Partnership for Children of Conflict, which helps children in need across the globe.  As well as teaming up with Jolie for the Style of Jolie collection, leading gemstone specialist Procop has close links with the Hollywood actress after designing the engagement ring fiancé Brad Pitt offered her earlier this year.  The actor was said to have had a key input in the design of the $250,000 ring, which took 12 months to make, and features a stunning oblong-shaped rock inset into a thick ribbed band.  While the jewels are normally only available to view by private appointment, the pop-up showcases will give unprecedented access to the line.

Vitange Playboy Bunny Shots.

Hugh Hefner’s Playboy Clubs—in existence from the early 1960s to the mid-80s—were perhaps the best manifestation of his singular, swinging-bachelor-pad lifestyle. And the waitresses (those cantilevered, cotton-tailed ladies in corsets and hose) still endure as one of America’s most lasting sex symbols. In conjunction with Bruce Handy’s comprehensive oral history of the clubs, which appeared in the May 2011 U.K. edition of Vanity Fair, looks back at those girls in ears.

Versace Fall Winter 2012 Campaign.

Here is the much anticipated Versace’s Fall Winter 2012 ad campaign shot by photographic duo Mert Alas and Marcus Piggott and stars models Philipp Schmidt, Dmitriy Tanner, Elza Luijendijk and Kaccey Carrig.
“I’m really thrilled with our new campaign. The result is bold, strong, iconic and perfectly conveys the sexy rock vibe of our F/W collection,” Donatella Versace said.
