Photographer Ben Franke took parkour art to another level with this serie of photography entitled Parkour in Motion.
Shooting in NYC with a Canon 5D Mark II & a 24-80mm lens, he tried to capture what Parkour looks like when it’s seen in stop motion. The images are quite bluffing, picture an authentic moment of effort in what is considered as an impressive sport and an amazing art.
The talented Chuck Travy aka ‘Authentic the #Rocksta’ has recently dropped his latest project titled ‘The Book Of Travy’. If you haven’t heard it yet, it’s one to check out. The subject matter is broad and diverse, and music covers Pop, Hip Hop and even Rock. ‘The Book Of Travy’ was produced by Rich Morfin, Clayton William, and a handful of others, and recorded at Hendrix Studios. You can buy the whole CD at itstravy.com and down below you can get a sneak peak of one of the songs from the CD itself.
‘iParty’, The single featuring Furious, Nayelli, Zyme, Authentic, Milla, and Clayton William now has a wild-style video to go with its interessant sound. Shot and edited by Drxawesomefilm (Ryan Keenan) & Sharp Films, the video is just one big party. Check the method below.
One of the Bay Area’s premiere top 40′s radio stations, Wild 94.9 has a very specific version of “2 Reasons” from Trey Songz. In the 94.9 version, Trey shouts out the entire bay and the radio station, giving him and the station a unique form of credibility. I personally loved this concept, (and his flow on the altered version of the song) and decided to take a crack at the concept myself. Authentic the #Rocksta and I have been working together for a few months, and I knew his flow would be a perfect addition to the monster hit from Will.I.Am and Britney Spears. Check the method below.
Bruno’s, the San Francisco nightclub that Authentic shouts out in the track has hosted me for about half a year now. The club itself is a wonderful spot with an incredible amount of diversity in the music and with its crowd. Bruno’s is located on 2389 Mission Street in the city, and features 3 rooms on 2 floors all with different brands of music. If you ever come to the club on a night when ‘DJ Storm’ is posted on the billboard outside, you’ll be sure to hear Authentic’s version of the track.
Breathing new life into a song can be accomplished many different ways. The most common way is the remix, but over time remixes just tire out a song even more, or give you something that makes you long for the original. Fortunately thanks to the brilliant minds behind ‘Caught Up’, it’s remix surpasses it’s already noteworthy original. With a new beat from Rich Morfin, the Authentic & Clayton William track has an entirely new appeal and proves that not everyone has forgotten what a good remix is supposed to sound like.
The video it self was direct and cut together by Wills Joseph, and features a spirited mish-mash of different moments in the life of Authentic. Clayton William, Rich Morfin, and many other make appearances throughout the video. The song itself can be found on Authentic’s upcoming release ‘The Book Of Travy’, being released on 12/21/12 at ItsTravy.com.
Every so often I’m fortunate enough to be presented with a great business opportunity that allows me to help others as well. I was introduced to Hendrix Studio’s by producer Clayton Williams, and have been obsessed with the facility ever since. Below is a video tour of the studio. If you’ve got any interest in getting any work laid down at Hendrix, don’t be afraid to hit me up.

After the debacle that was X-Men: The Last Stand, Fox is trying to reboot its Marvel mutant franchise by having Bryan Singer, who directed the well-liked first two installments of the initial trilogy, to produce a prequel. And the studio hired Matthew Vaughn, who was actually on tap to direct Last Stand before deciding against it, to direct First Class, which is not only a prequel, but a period prequel, set in the funky 1960s. And it’s got a crop of many up-and-comers and new stars such as Jennifer Lawrence, Nicholas Hoult and Michael Fassbender. So is this a makeup movie that sets the ship back on course? The answer comes June 3. Check the trailer out below and enjoy.
