An urban setting marked by bright billboards and powerful graphic symbols acting as the backdrop for shots depicting Anna De Riik, Tao Okamoto, Paolo Anchisi and Alfred Kovac.

Chanta Patton is one hell of a Christmas present, born on December 25th, 1986 in North Carolina. Ms. Patton grew up in Baltimore as a teen and as a step into the field, she won Baltimore’s Next Top Model. An impressive modeling resume may set certain people apart from the crowd, but Chanta also attended Coppin State University earning a degree in Applied Mathematics. Although Chanta has been getting herself quite noticed in the urban scene, she intends to make the jump into features very soon, and has already been featured in videos with Nelly, Kardinal Official, Akon, Snoop Dogg, Too Short, Ludacris, Lil Wayne, T Pain, Young Jeezy and Usher. For Queen Elizabeth II’s Diamond Jubilee, celebrating 60 years of her reign over England, advertising agency Leo Burnett London and pantone have developed a numbered shade guide to her majesty’s most memorable choices of color for her stately ensembles. The creative companies have collaborated in order to assemble a limited edition pigment manual picturing the queen’s six decades on the British throne. Leatrice Eiseman, the executive director of the pantone color institute reflects upon her majesty’s notable shade selections, including ‘pantone 13-0755 primrose yellow’ of Queen Elizabeth II’s outfit worn in April of 2011 to the wedding of her grandson, Prince William to Kate Middleton or ‘pantone 13-4411 crystal blue’ for which Eiseman notes, ’blue is a colour staple in the queen’s wardrobe, it’s a color that communicates constancy and it is also symbolic of her devotion to the british people.
Blues traditionally have calming properties and she is often seen wearing them during difficult times…’. The small, queen-shaped book contains sixty years of Queen Elizabeth II’s most memorable wardrobe shades, printed by precision imaging using HP indigo technology and is comprised of sixty separate images picturing varying pigments. Beginning with color choices dating back to the queen’s coronation, each of the individual shade references include the date and location of that particular ensemble. Images of her majesties wardrobe selections were matched by pantone’s emulation system, achieving exact color matching from the pantone shade range.
“Boutique Design” has designed “The Canopy” which is a residential tower that aims to take advantage of Hong Kong’s geographic specifications. The Canopy was created in order to blur the boundary between the modern interior spaces and the dramatic natural landscapes that surround the bustling metropolis. Each apartment has the feel of a modern-day tree house, with luxurious interior spaces that open out onto a 525 square foot garden balcony. The tower has an optimized structure with standard units to minimize the construction cost and can be easily reproduced into multiple towers, its green envelope making each tower unique and integrated into its natural surrounding.
Louis Vuitton presents “All Aboard Games,” a video created by “Ill Studio”, that takes the viewer on a “fantastic and surrealist voyage inside a Louis Vuitton game case.” All of the iconic game symbols that the French brand have been using since 1888 are featured in this colorful piece. Chess, checkers, cards, dominoes, roulette, etc… The film was released onto LV’s online magazine New, Now and falls in line with their trend towards promoting the vintage lifestyle and the brands historical roots.

London has got quite a summer of celebrations coming up, this week sees the Queen’s Jubilee, and it’s not long until the London 2012 Olympics. As such there are countless festivities planned across the city … and even the historic landmarks are getting in on the act. Tower Bridge has been kitted out with a new state-of-the-art lighting system to help mark the occasions. Over the past six months designers and electricians have been scaling the granite ledges and steel suspension chains of London’s landmark Tower Bridge to install some 6,500 feet (2,000m) of energy-efficient LED linear lights, 1,800 LED lamps, and 1,000 junction boxes with 16,500 feet (5,000m) of cable to the 117-year old bridge. Over the Queen’s Diamond Jubilee, the lights – which are controlled by computer – will make the famous bridge over the Thames gleam in “diamond” white. Then, when the Olympics begins, the color-changing lights will be used to highlight the Olympic Rings and Paralympic Agitos which will be fitted to the London icon.
This is a stunning concept created by Italian industrial designer Paolo De Giusti who created the concept of a futuristic single seater sporty vehicle. This model called Egochine B is an evolution of a first concept called Egochine. New concepts were equiped by large electric motors combined with hydrogen fuel cells. This futuristic car is inspired by luxury sportscars of the past such as Isotta Fraschini.
Artist Rashad Alakbarov from Azerbaijan uses suspended translucent objects and other found materials to create light and shadow paintings on walls. The jaw-dropping light painting above, made with an array of colored airplanes has recently had his work at the “Fly to Baku” exhibition at De Pury Gallery in London.
Italian industrial designer Michele Puzzolante has come up with a conceptual floating luxury hotel suite he claims could be entirely self-powering thanks to the dye-sensitized solar cells which would be integrated into the vessel’s walls. Puzzolante suggests his “Solar Floating Resort” could be navigated along exotic coast lines, while its six resident passengers observe marine wildlife thanks to its underwater “observation bulb”.
Halo 4 and the Master Chief got its gameplay debut yesterday during Microsoft’s E3 2012 conference with a colossal gameplay trailer using both live action and also Xbox 360 in-game footage.
Originally thought to be the flagship game for the potentially upcoming Xbox 720, the now Xbox 360-bound trailer shed light on both what the Halo 4 single player campaign would look like and also showcased both the new-look Covenant and ancient foes the Forerunners.
The trailer also shed light on the Halo 4 plot revealing that the Master Chief would not be the only human stranded on the Forerunner planet, he will be joined by the surviving crew members of the UNSC Infinity, a titanic exploration vessel that has been pulled onto the planets surface.
Appearing for the first time are the Forerunners, previously mentioned but never-before-seen creators of the Halos and the Ark. Combining both technology and organic life they bring with them an entirely new arsenal of weapons that will sit alongside the classic Halo Battle Rifle.
Finally the trailer was able to expand further on the relationship between the Master Chief and Cortana, the ancient AI that he both protects and relies on for help.
While little is known about her, Cortana’s back story was touched on by Halo Reach and looks to be expanded upon by Halo 4 with the Artificial Intelligence having to face the prospect of mortality.
Microsoft have revealed that the Halo 4 release date is 6th November and will be exclusively available for Xbox 360 with both the standard version and a Limited Edition available.
There seems to be a trend coming to light of overly simplified music videos. The newest video to fall victim to this is ‘Run’ from Flo Rida and LMFAO’s Red Foo. Although I’m not necessarily a fan of this type of one shot, one style, super simple video… this one I think I can deal with. Check the method below.

After teasing the video’s release for quite some time, Kanye West dropped the visuals for “Mercy,” featuring 2 Chainz, Big Sean & Pusha-T. The black and white paired-down video features the rappers dancing and rapping in a monochromatic parking garage, which makes sense, given that the song is named after the Lamborghini Murcielago (swerve). Say what you will about Kanye’s new songs (which have been criticized for lacking the emotion of his previous work), “Way Too Cold” and “Mercy” are unlike anything on his last solo effort, My Beautiful Dark Twisted Fantasy. Kanye’s hungry, and he’s not going to do the same thing twice.
Bangkok University has been branding itself as a Creative University during the past few years. One method they have chosen to do this is to re-imagine and re-allocate the space so that the students will want to spend time on the campus, not just studying but enjoying themselves. As before the university retained Bangkok’s Supermachine Studio, led by Pitupong (Jack) Chaowakul, to create the Student Lounge (formerly allocated for teachers) at the Rangsit Campus, located north of Bangkok. The new configuration for the lounge was completed in March and includes about 1,000 square meters (about 10,764 square feet) combined on the ground floor and mezzanine. The ground floor area is designed as a flexible hang-out space that can be reconfigured for studying alone or in groups, resting, meetings and so on, using the porous, mobile “ribs” as walls. The mezzanine level is a fun and games zone. It includes a pink polka-dotted Karaoke hut, teetering off the “cliff” and about to fall off onto the reading cave below. Students sitting on the massive modular sofa in the reading cave can clearly see their fellow students performing in the Karaoke hut.
The game zone includes a huge pool table with mobile holes, a giant dart board where no-one can miss the bulls-eye, a music rehearsal room that is like a little house with one wall hinging open, plus a gossip corner and a Kungfu zone. Many of the components in the space are meant for the students to change and reconfigure, including the 400- bottle chandelier and the gigantic panda that could be painted in the future to resemble other characters, animals or creatures. Inside the 6,5-meter high panda is the spiral staircase connecting the ground floor and. Mezzanine. Students enter the staircase from the backside and exit from the back of the head. The mouth of the panda is a window. The columns dotting the ground floor are currently white, but the students are expected to paint or decorate them as well. In addition to Pitupong Chaowakul, the design team included Suchart Ouypornchaisakul, Nuntawat Tassanasangsoon, Wattikon Kosolkit, Santi Sarasuphab and Supanna Chanpensri.
Rihanna isn’t known for covering up, so it’s no surprise that she dared to bare it all in new behind-the-scenes photos from a shoot for her upcoming fragrance, which is appropriately titled Nude. The singer’s pal Melissa Forde posted the sexy pics on Instagram with the caption, “#Nude Behind the scenes for new fragrance photo shoot.” In the photos, Rihanna poses topless, donning a blond wig for several seductive photos. Nude will be Rihanna’s third fragrance. She released Reb’l Fleur in spring 2011 and Rebelle in December.

We are just over a month away from The Dark Knight Rises hitting theaters July 20, director Christopher Nolan’s final Batman adventure. AMC Theaters announced today they are hosting The Dark Knight Marathon on Thursday, July 19, where fans can watch Batman Begins and The Dark Knight in theaters before the midnight debut of The Dark Knight Rises. Following its debut during the season premiere of “America’s Got Talent,” Sony Pictures has now brought online the 4-Minute Super Preview for The Amazing Spider-Man which you can watch below. The trailer features a bridge scene from the movie that’s in all honesty pretty bad-ass, (and even shows how Parker deals with children with no concept of saving their own lives.) HOWEVER, if you don’t want to spoil what I’m sure is an incredible scene in the movie, I suggest you skip this one.
Matt Mignanelli (born June 16, 1983 Providence, RI) is an artist based in New York City best known for his abstract geometric paintings. Mignanelli’s paintings explore the relationship between structure and nature, which is relayed through his use of gradating light and structural elements to create new undefined and visually complex environments. He draws inspiration from energy, pattern, light, and emotion. Structural elements are referenced throughout his work in the form of patterning and textures, along with a vibrant color palette informed by neon nightscapes.
